Pow Wow Etiquette

1. We stand up and remove all hats during the Grand Entry

2. We remain silent during any prayers and honor songs

3. Listen to the Emcee, this is when you will learn if those in the public may also dance

4. Please refrain from touching a dancers regalia or referring to it as a costume

5. Please keep little ones from running into the dance arena, this is Sacred Ground

6. Respect the Sacred Ground by refraining from cutting through the dance arena

7. Respect your elders, it is always polite to let them go first, or help them if needed

8. Dress Modestly and Appropriately

9. Bring a chair as most pow wow's seating is limited

10. Drugs, Alcohol, Firearms and Other Weapons are never to be brought to a pow wow
